Simon Says SBC Fighters Book 2 Lori Foster Books
Lori Foster writes the best characters and makes you really care about them. Simon and Dakota are great together and really belong together. I really like how the story is told from the man's perspective as well. Usually romances are mostly told from the female point of view. Lori lets you see things from the mans side too. She writes so convincingly that you root for the couples even more. It was great to catch up with other characters and be introduced to new ones. I would definitely recommend this book to any adult reader who loves a steamy read.Tags : Amazon.com: Simon Says (SBC Fighters, Book 2) (9780425216583): Lori Foster: Books,Lori Foster,Simon Says (SBC Fighters, Book 2),Berkley,0425216586,Romance - Contemporary,Boxers (Sports),Love stories,Man-woman relationships,AMERICAN LIGHT ROMANTIC FICTION,Adult & contemporary romance,FICTION Mystery & Detective Women Sleuths,FICTION Romance Contemporary,FICTION Women,Fiction,Fiction - Romance,Fiction-Romance,General Adult,MASS MARKET,RomanceModern,Romance: Modern,United States, boxer dog gifts for women;lori foster;romance;contemporary romance;mystery;romance novels;romance books;police;mystery books;women's fiction;crime books;gifts for women;fiction;novels;gifts for her;mysteries;fiction books;women;mystery and thrillers;mystery and suspense;mysteries and thrillers;cozy mysteries women sleuths series;books fiction;women sleuths;murder mystery books;detective novels;books mystery;mystery novels;women gifts;romance novel;mystery thriller suspense, romance; contemporary romance; romantic suspense; crime books; mystery books; gifts for women; romance novels; fiction; fiction books; gifts for her; mystery; mysteries; romance books; women; mystery and thrillers; murder mystery books; women gifts; mysteries and thrillers; mystery thriller suspense; mystery novels; detective novels; cozy mysteries women sleuths series; mystery and suspense; women sleuths; women sleuths mysteries; female sleuths mysteries; chick lit; suspense; alpha male; love; family; novella; sports
Simon Says SBC Fighters Book 2 Lori Foster Books Reviews
I just finished "Simon Says" the follow-up to "Havoc". This is by far the better of the two books. It is not necessary to read Havoc first, it just introduces you to the main character Simon. As a matter-of-fact, Havoc might let you down and make you not want to try the sequel. But believe me, it will be worth it. Lori Foster hit all the right notes with this one. Other reviewers have recapped the plot of the book so I won't do it again. Suffice it to say, I just finished it and without a doubt, it will be one I read again and again. It's got humor, sex appeal, suspense, warmth, a wonderful hero and a strong, smart heroine, likeable secondary characters that I hope get their own books - especially Barber. I loved this book. Well worth your time and your money. Brava, Ms. Foster, Brava!
Definitely would recommend this book. It’s suspenseful, with humor and romance readers can relate too. Looking forward to start the next book in the series. I love Lori Foster (Shianna)
Simon Evans, aka Sublime, thinks that his life is working out great, until he finds out his longtime girlfriend has been cheating on him. It's then that he realizes that although he's rather angry, in all reality, he really doesn't care and that although he's been satisfied with his life and his job promoting the SBC fighters, he's fallen in a rut of familiarity. He quickly decides to jump back in the ring. A decision that leads him into the path of Dakota Dream and the father who walked out on him years ago, a father he has no intention of having in his life. However, Dakota intrigues him and despite himself he can't keep his mind off her or stop spending time with her.
Dakota's stepfather is blackmailing her. Either she succeeds in getting his son, Simon, to talk to him in person or he'll destroy the letters from her mother that were written before she died. Due to Dakota's disastrous marriage, Dakota and her mother had not been on speaking terms at her death and she is desperate to know if the letters contain her mother's forgiveness. Even though Simon is determined not to have any contact with his father, Dakota stays around to convince him to help change his mind. As their relationship takes unexpected turns, she finds herself discovering that Simon has become more important to her than anything in her past. Only now the past, in the form of Dakota's deranged ex-husband, has come back to haunt her and with Simon's ex-girlfriend determined to win him back, Dakota and Simon may have to fight for their lives and the love they've discovered.
In all honesty I have to say that Simon Says kept me up practically all night! It was that good. Simon was so yummy and when it comes to heroines, Dakota is my favorite kind! Filled with smoldering sensuality one moment, action the next and just the right amount of humor thrown in, Simon Says is one book that everyone should grab up immediately!

This book. One of my favorite books of all time. Love Simon and Dakota's story. I could reread this book over and over. Love getting to know these characters. Dakota is such a strong yet vulnerable woman but once she meets Simon she just can't fight it. He's irresistible and he can't help but fall in love with her. Beautiful story.
Contemporary romance with protected sex (except for 1 time).
This is a good addition to the SBC Fighters series. We see a lot of Dean & Gregor. We're introduced to Michael (Mallet) & Harley (Hard to Handle).
I liked Simon & Dakota. Dakota's not your usual LF heroine. She's damaged emotionally & physically. This requires her to act strong. In most LF books the men are strong alpha males. The females are spunky, but much weaker. Dakota could physically kick all the women's butts. For some reviewers I noticed this was a turn off. She's not that bad, however, LF uses the BIG MISUNDERSTANDING trope which is not usual for her. Dakota has a great scene in "Hard To Handle" which is typical of her!
Again, my biggest gripe is LF's use of archaic slang. We get a lot of "doll" & "dollface"....yuck!
So this review was going to be biased even before I started reading it. I have not read a book by Lori yet that I haven't loved. She touched on an important subject with this book and the guys of Harmony Kentucky handled it perfectly. I wish I could find a photo that was Lori's inspiration for Simon.
I'm not even sure where I'm going with this. All I can say is, you can not go wrong when reading any and all of Lori Fosters books. Happy reading!
Simon is a fighter training for an upcoming match when he meets Dakota, the girl of his dreams. Dakota is a P.I. hired by her stepfather to find Simon. Despite several attempts to get Simon to meet her stepfather she finally gives up or does she. Dakota is a spitfire who isn't afraid to let everyone know her opinion. If you love strong men and even stronger women then this book, Simon Says, and the series SBC Fighters are for you. This book book starts out with bang and just keeps on going. It is an HEA and features characters from two of Lori's other series, Ultimate and Love Undercover.
