The entire Flicka, Ricka, and Dicka series is charmingly written and beautifully illustrated, so I was delighted to discover that several titles were available in Kindle format. The Kindle version, however, displays only in a ridiculously small format (two double page spreads per screen), making both the story and illustrations impossible to enjoy. The text itself does pop up in a somewhat magnified, though still difficult to read format. The illustrations, however, are thumbnail size. If you want to share these stories with your children, do yourself a favor and stick with the original print format.

I found the Flicka, Ricka, and Dicka books at the library and read them to my youngest, who loved them. The moral of the first one, "Flicka, Ricka, Dicka and the New Dotted Dresses," is that helping the poor is more important than new clothes. The others in the series have similar good messages while never being preachy. I got the books for my new twin granddaughters.
THis series is a traditional favorite. The type is easy to read, the story lively, and the illustrations well done in an old fashioned style.
It's so nice to see this childhood favorite is still in print. I bought this for my granddaughter.
A neighbor introduced me to old Flicka Ricka Dicka books she had saved (favorites from her childhood) and I knew my daughter would instantly take to them. The illustrations are wonderful and the stories keep the imagination alive as you follow three, identical triplet sisters on their adventures.
This is a classic, and brings back many memories. I've read these books to my own children, who now are starting their own families. I know this book will be a favorite in our household for years to come!
My grandmother use to read me these stories back in the '50's. What's not to love? I bought it as a gift for my sister so she can read it to her grandchildren....keeping the tridition alive.
My daughter is 7 and a voracious reader, but you can NEVER be too old for picture books! This whole, vintage series is completely adorable and one that we'll keep in our forever library.
