This is book three in the Bet Series and it was a great ending! I am sad to see it end but it was a fun, quick read. This story focuses on Jace and Beth with many appearances of characters from the previous two books in the series. Of course, who could forget Grandma, who continues to meddle with matchmaking but in a good way! She can tell from early on who is good for another person. Some of her methods might be a bit questionable but it makes the story that much better! True to Rachel Van Dyken's style, there is a lot of witty banter and I laughed out loud more times than I can count! She has a gift and I hope she continues to write a lot more books. It would be great to see a spin-off series or continuation of this series. I highly recommend this book, along with the other books in this series!

My excessive use of Thor in this review will only be understood and revealed if you have read the book. (winks)

Before The Dare, honestly, The Bet series was a series I rarely remember. However, The Dare came and oh my Thor! Jace the Sena-Thor took my heart and as of writing, hasn't given it back yet. His and Beth's story is a sure swoon- worthy romance that will make every readers fall head over heels.

Rachel Van Dyken has played Beth's character, as the damsel slash loser nerd in distress , very well. My heart never failed to clench when she wallows in self- pity. Her character is identifiable and so real. Then my heart goes "dun-dun" every time the mighty sena-Thor comes to the rescue.

Their love story is such a fairy tale.....

...with the help of the ever greatest fairy grandmother! The return of Grandma Nadine! No The Bet series book is ever complete without her. Her humor, her magic and her bag of tricks just won't run out.
If this is the conclusion of the series, I will be very sad. I will miss the grandma that Rachel has unselfishly shared with us. But as grandma says....

I love this series, i love all the characters but i absolutely love Grandma Nadine, she has no equal, i want to create her and make her my grandma. This book is absolutely hilarious and sweet and sexy. There is no other way to put it!

"You're right." I reached for her hand. "I'll do better. It's just been a long day." And if she kept saying six, I was going to six the hell out of her in a public forum."

"A spider that looked a hell of a lot like a shrunken MMA fighter barreled toward me. Now, I wasn't a fan of spiders. I didn't hate them, but that didn't mean I particularly enjoyed the idea of something hairy sinking its fangs into me. So I did what any logical man would do. I looked for a gun. And when I realized I wasn't James Bond, nor did I live in a spy novel, I grabbed the next best thing. The hair dryer. It wasn't plugged in, but it was big enough for combat. This book like the other in this series was fantastic. The Dare was hilarious form cover to cover. Jace and Beth were a force to be reckoned with when it came to challenging Grandma Nadine. In the end we all know that absolutely no one is a match for Grandma Nadine.

We meet Jace And Beth in The Wager as secondary characters that the infamous Grandma Nadine had a plan for. This book picks up right where The Wager leaves off in complete chaos. What do expect when your dealing with the Titus clan. Grandmas "special abilities" (we call it manipulation) will continue to amaze you. The woman will move heaven and earth to make sure no one misses their magic moment.

This book was a brilliant journey from start to finish. To watch a man be brought to his knees by the one that got away is truly a beautiful sight. Jace was a extremely complicated man with a beautiful sensitive side. Beth was a strong minded girl that wanted her fairytale. You will fall completely in love with these two by the end of their story. You can expect all the crazy twist and turn along the way that you got from the other books in this series. The ups and downs and ins and outs are what make it a fabulous journey to follow them on. Expect tears of joy and tears of frustration. You will fall from fits of laughter to tears of sorrow as they find there way to their happily ever after.

Rachell VanDyken is a phenomenal author who continues to make us fall in love with her books, characters and love stories. With each book she releases I continue to fall further in love with her as a person. She has the ability with putting words on a page to brighten even the darkest of days. Whenever I am looking for a book to bring a smile to my face she my go to i know they will never let me down.
